Updated: Apr 2

Congratulations on choosing WhatsApp as one of your communication channels with clients! By integrating it with your LiveChat account, you're truly taking customer engagement to the next level.

Let's dive into our friendly step-by-step guide to effortlessly connect WhatsApp with LiveChat for even more delightful interactions with your customers!

How to connect your WhatsApp Business number with a LiveChat account?

1. Once you’ve confirmed the installation on the Marketplace, select Finish installation.

If you need to finish the installation later, go to Settings>Manage Apps>WhatsApp Business. 2. In a Popup, select Allow to provide all necessary permissions.

3. You’ll see this screen. Click the “Connect with Facebook” button.

Follow the instructions you’ll see in a pop-up window. They may vary a little, depending on whether you already have a Facebook Business Account or/and a WhatsApp Business Account, but they will look something like this:

a. Log in to your Facebook account

b. Click the “Get started” button to connect your account with our integration

c. Select an existing Meta Business Account or create a new one.

d. Create or select your WhatsApp Business Account

e. Add a phone number you want to connect

f. Permit us to manage your WhatsApp Account (it’s required and completely safe)

g. The page will reload, and voila!

You are now successfully connected to WhatsApp Business.

When a customer writes to you on WhatsApp, you’ll see it on your chat list!

And voila! Your number is now connected to WhatsApp and you can start chatting using the WhatsApp channel:

As a part of the trial, you receive 100 user-initiated conversations completely for free for the first 30 days! Afterward, you can choose the plan that best suits your needs.

Aslo, in chats the messages will be marked with a WhatsApp icon next to the customer's name. You can also see the customer’s phone number in the Details bar on the right.

The Facebook/WhatsApp policy gives you 24 hours to respond to a message. After that time, the chat will be archived and you won’t be able to reply.

This policy is in place to protect against spamming.
